Describe a picture and get one to four images of it: a portrait, a product shot, a scene, a poster.
Make and edit images with Black Forest Labs' new open-weight model: write a prompt, or add up to 10 photos to edit or combine. PicYep is an independent studio that runs the model through a hosted API; it is not affiliated with Black Forest Labs.
FLUX 3 Klein is the 5.6-billion-parameter open-weight image model Black Forest Labs released on October 15, 2026, the compact member of the FLUX 3 family. On PicYep it runs in the browser with nothing to install: it makes images from a prompt, edits a photo you add, and combines up to 10 photos in one request. Pick one of ten aspect ratios, 1K or 2K, and one to four images; a 1K image costs 5 credits.
New accounts start with free credits, and no card is needed to sign up. The cost of each photo is shown before you generate, and a request that ends without a photo gets its credits back. Your photos stay private to your account, carry no watermark and are yours to use for personal and commercial work.
One model for all three, chosen for you on this page.
Describe a picture and get one to four images of it: a portrait, a product shot, a scene, a poster.
Add a photo and say what to change — the background, the outfit, the light, an object to add or take away.
Add up to 10 photos and bring them into one picture: two people side by side, a person with their pet, a product in a new setting.
Describe the image you want. To edit or combine, add your photos first and say what to do with them.
FLUX 3 Klein is already chosen. Choose the aspect ratio, 1K or 2K, and how many images to make.
The cost in credits is on the button before you generate. Keep the images you like and download the originals.
What each choice under the prompt does when FLUX 3 Klein is the model.
| Setting | Details |
|---|---|
| Prompt | Up to 4,000 characters. Klein does best with a full description: the subject, the framing, the background and the light. |
| Reference photos | Up to 10 per request, JPG, PNG or WebP, each up to 10 MB. Refer to them in order: "the first photo", "the second photo". |
| Aspect ratio | 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 5:4, 4:5, 16:9, 9:16, 3:2, 2:3 or 21:9. With a photo added, the ratio closest to it is picked unless you choose one. |
| Resolution | 1K, about 1 megapixel (1024×1024 for a square), or 2K, about 4 megapixels (2048×2048). |
| Images per request | One to four. |
| Cost | 5 credits for a 1K image, 10 for 2K, shown on the button before you generate. A request that ends without an image gets its credits back. |
Where Klein sits among the models it is most often weighed against. Three of them run on PicYep, so you can give each the same prompt.
| Model | Made by | Open weights | Reference images | Known for | 1K image here |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| FLUX 3 Klein | Black Forest Labs | Yes, 5.6B | Up to 10 | Speed and price: images, edits and several references from one compact model | 5 credits |
| FLUX 3 | Black Forest Labs | Not published | Up to 10 | The full FLUX 3 image model, listed at about five times Klein's price | 25 credits |
| FLUX.2 | Black Forest Labs | [klein] 4B and 9B, [dev]; [pro] is API only | Several | The previous generation. In BFL's own evaluations Klein scores above FLUX.2 [klein] 9B and FLUX.2 [pro] | — |
| Nano Banana 2.1 | Not published | Up to 14 | Complex instructions, and edits that leave the rest of a photo as it was | 25 credits |
Reference images: the most each model reads; a request on PicYep takes as many as its model reads. FLUX.2 does not run on PicYep; Black Forest Labs lists it at $0.014 ([klein] 4B) to $0.03 ([pro]) for a 1-megapixel image, and Klein at $0.009. Prices here are live.
Klein's weights are on Hugging Face, in a base checkpoint for fine-tuning and a faster distilled one. Black Forest Labs gives about 11.2 GB of video memory for BF16 and 5.6 GB for FP8, and says the INT8 build runs on 8 GB cards; a 1-megapixel image takes about 4 seconds on an RTX 5090 in ComfyUI.
Online on PicYep there is nothing to download, no graphics card and no workflow to set up: it works on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and your images are kept in your account.
The downloadable weights come under the FLUX Kommunity License: free for research, for non-commercial use, and for commercial use by individuals and companies with less than $5 million in annual revenue. Larger companies license the weights from Black Forest Labs or use an API.
PicYep runs Klein through a hosted API, so there are no weights to license. The images you make here are yours to use for personal and commercial work, with no watermark.
Klein was trained on detailed captions. Say what is in the frame, how close the camera is, what is behind and where the light comes from.
With several photos, say "the woman in the first photo" or "the jacket from the second photo", in the order you added them.
For an edit, describe the photo as it should look with the change made, rather than only the change.
Try ideas at 1K for 5 credits each, then make the one you like at 2K.
It is free to try on PicYep: a new account starts with free credits, and no card is needed to sign up. After that a 1K image costs 5 credits. The weights themselves are free to download under the FLUX Kommunity License.
Klein is the compact, open-weight member of the FLUX 3 family: faster and listed at about a fifth of the full model's price ($0.009 against $0.048 for a 1K image). Both run on PicYep, so you can give them the same prompt and keep the result you prefer.
In the evaluations Black Forest Labs published with the release, Klein scores higher than FLUX.2 [klein] 9B in both text-to-image and editing with 38% fewer parameters, and above FLUX.2 [pro].
Yes. Add a photo and describe the change, or add up to 10 photos and say how to bring them together.
Not on PicYep: it runs in your browser on any device. To run the weights yourself, you need a graphics card with about 8 GB of video memory or more and a tool such as ComfyUI.
No. PicYep is an independent AI photo generator that runs FLUX 3 Klein through a hosted API, alongside other models such as FLUX 3, Nano Banana and GPT Image.
