AI photo and headshot services differ less in what they promise than in what they charge, how many photos you get, and what they do with your face. We read what nine of them say on their own websites — pricing, help, terms and privacy pages — and set it next to PicYep. Nothing here is tested or rated: every line is what the company itself states, checked on October 15, 2026, with the page linked under Sources. Prices are as each site shows them and may change.
BetterPic and Aragon are left out: their sites could not be opened from our test machine on the day we checked.

Refunds
| Service | What its own pages say |
|---|---|
| HeadshotPro | A full refund if the headshots do not look like you, within 14 days of payment and only if no photo from the order was downloaded. Other reasons are judged case by case. |
| Photo AI | A self-refund only before you create a model and while you have made fewer than 20 photos (and did not sign up through a referral link); otherwise no refund. The terms say refunds are not offered. |
| Remini | Weekly and monthly plans: ask within 20 days of the charge; yearly plans within 60 days. App Store purchases are refunded by Apple. |
| Fotor | Subscriptions and credits are not refundable. If a headshot does not capture your likeness, Fotor resets your credits for another try. |
| Gluely | Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play, and refunds follow their policies. |
| Adobe Firefly | A full refund if you cancel within 14 days of the first order. After that, monthly payments are not refunded; cancelling an annual plan billed monthly costs 50% of the rest of the contract. |
| PFPMaker | A full refund within 14 days of the first purchase if no AI tool was used and nothing was downloaded; unused one-time credits within 14 days. Credits for failed generations are returned automatically. |
| insMind | As a rule, no refunds; you can apply if no credits were used within 7 days of purchase. An approved refund keeps a 20% service fee. |
| EdMyPic | The pricing page lists a 30-day money-back guarantee; the refund policy limits refunds to unused credits when the service did not work. |
| PicYep | Credits come back automatically when a request ends without a photo, including when there is no result in 10 minutes. A request still waiting in line can be cancelled for a full return. Once a day, a photo you mark as not right is made again for free. A payment refund can be requested within 14 days and is reviewed case by case. |

What to check before you pay
- How many photos you upload. Training-based services (Photo AI, Remini) ask for 5 to 15 photos and wait for a model; one-photo services start at once.
- Whether a bad result costs you. Look for a refund or redo rule that covers results that do not look like you, and whether downloading a photo ends it.
- What happens to your face afterwards. Retention ranges from 24 hours to as long as you keep the account, and training on your photos is stated plainly by some and not at all by others.
To see how much the model matters, our tests run the same photos through eight models with every result shown: selfies, headshots, profile pictures, couples and groups.

PFPMaker refunds within 14 days only if no AI tool was used. PicYep returns credits automatically when a request ends without a photo, and remakes one photo you mark as not right for free once a day.

HeadshotPro says it never does. Adobe says selfies uploaded to its selfie generator do not train its models, Remini only with your opt-in, and PFPMaker says it does not currently.
